Highly respected and well regarded by students and teachers of Pinjarra Senior High School, Principal Rob Lawson, has quietly finished up work here on the last Friday of Term 3. Mr Lawson has been at Pinjarra Senior High School for the last three and a half years. In that time his influence has been felt in every corner of the school. The impact of his leadership is highly visible and will continue to be long after his departure. Words could not encapsulate the successes and positive change that has been brought about in such a short time. His driving force has always been to fight for access for Pinjarra Senior High School students to the same resources and standards that are available to students at other schools. He will be sorely missed and we wish him well at his new challenge at Darling Range Sports College.
The process to appoint a new Principal for the start of 2019 will begin sometime in Term 4. In the interim, I will ensure that the plans we have in place continue; that they are monitored; and resourced to achieve the best outcomes for our students. We will continue our focus on achieving Success for All Students. Highly capable and competent staff will fill the vacancies created by Mr Lawson’s departure to ensure smooth running of the school.

YEAR 12 STUDENTS
As we near the end of the academic year for Year 12 students, we need to alert parents and students to some important dates and information.
Year 12 students will receive their Clearance Forms during Advocate on Monday 8 October. Students will need to have these signed by the relevant teachers and staff, as well as parents, before final sign off by the Associate Principal. Students are reminded that sign off needs to occur during their timetabled classes, recess and/or lunch. Students will not be permitted to wander around during class time to have Clearance Forms signed. Students will also need to ensure they have their Graduation gown size recorded before final sign off.
Students will only be signed off by teachers once they have completed each relevant course and achieved a C grade equivalent or higher.
All Clearance Forms need to be completed and submitted before Wednesday 17 October 2018.
General students who have been signed off, may choose to stay home until the final assembly. ATAR student will be expected to attend all revision seminars scheduled in Weeks 1 and 2.

Year 12 Final Assembly
This is yet another heart-warming opportunity to congratulate and farewell the 2018 Year 12 cohort. This assembly will occur during Period 3 on Wednesday 17 October 2018. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
All Year 12 students will need to meet Ms Walters in the Senior Learning Centre at the start of the day on Wednesday 17 to prepare for this assembly. Please be on time for this important event. If an emergency occurs and students may be late, please contact the school as soon as possible to advise.
Statements of Results will be issued to students at the conclusion of this assembly.
Students will not be returning to school after this assembly. Should students need to attend school after this time, they will need to sign in at the Front Office and get a visitor’s badge before proceeding onto school grounds.
