Pinjarra Senior High School is seeking expressions of interest from students who will be in Year 10 in 2020 that would be interested in undertaking an electrical career pathway opportunity presented below:
College of Electrical Training is exploring offering a pilot program in 2020 to school students who are interested in gaining entry into the electrical industry.
Electrical Industry Pilot Program
|2020||Year 10||Complete the UEE20111 – Certificate II in Split Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems|
4 days per week normal school program
1 day per week at College of Electrical Training
|$2600 per student payable upfront by parent/guardian|
Successful completion of UEE20111 in Year 10 student would be put forward as candidate to enter UEE22011 – Certificate II in Electrotechnology Electrician (Career Start).
This qualification is dependent on the availability of government funding.
3 days per week normal school program
2 days per week at College of Electrical Training
|Nil cost – government funded|
At successful completion of UEE22011 in Year 11 the college of Electrical Training would work in partnership with Electrical and Communications Association of WA’s GTO, Electrical Group Training and for each student that has successfully completed the UEE20111 and 22011 qualifications the aim would be to secure an employment outcome in an apprenticeship if an apprenticeship employment opportunity exists.
