Yesterday, the Honourable Mark McGowan, Premier of Western Australia and Robyn Clarke MLA, member for Murray-Wellington visited Pinjarra Senior High School to announce a building program to commence this year. We have been allocated 10.4 million dollars to build a new Performing Arts Centre and Gymnasium on our school site.

This funding is part of the 5.5 billion dollars for the WA Recovery Plan in the wake of the Covid 19 crisis, and is intended to get people back to work by generating public works projects that employ people in local communities. So, while this is massive news for us as a school, it is also a great opportunity for those who have lost jobs or suffered downturns in businesses. Many of these people are likely to have children that attend our school, so it is a win all around for the Pinjarra community.
